Jeff & Loris admiring the frog pond at Granity

Granity is the property developed by Jeff and Loris Wilmot at 675 Landscape Road, Tallarook. Loris and Jeff have recently sold this property with a plan to move into Seymour into an energy smart renovation+addition.

Granity is a beautiful property of native and permaculture gardens, a rammed earth house and here is a chance for BEAM members to visit and appreciate Jeff and Loris’s achievement over the past 30 years, before they shift.

Combined with the Granity event is a trip to the Trawool Reservoir during that afternoon, to get a first hand look and description of the Feasible Pumped Hydro Energy Storage proposal, able to generate 6MW of power. It’s a big water battery, and its our local opportunity in a renewable energy storage concept that is much talked about nationally.

Time: 11:30am for a elk around the property ) or 12:00. The trip to te zreservoir will be after lunch and will take about 1½ hours.
Catering: BYO lunch and drinks. Barbecue will be available, and BEAM will provide tea/coffee and cakes.
How to get there: Two alternatives: drive up Ennis Road, then turn left down Landscape Road, or approach through Upper Goulburn Road and turn right up Landscape Road. The second alternative has a steep section.
