Permacroft is a small cooperative who own a property on the western side of Sugarloaf Creek. They are looking at improving the management of the property including vegetation protection and planting.  We decided to support their efforts, initially by taking the lead on restoring one part of the site during 2020.  A small local team planted a fenced and scalped area on 19th July.

The plants have flourished but we now need to protect the plants with some weeding and mulching.  Please join us for a chatting and working bee on Sunday 22nd November

What to bring:  shovels and mattocks, buckets and wheelbarrows (if convenient), gloves, suitable footwear and hats PLUS  water and morning tea (and chairs).

How to get there:  From Seymour or Tallarook:  take the Pyalong Road, turn left at Sugarloaf Creek Road, then right into Munckton’s Lane.   From Broadford, head north at the main (Hamilton Street) junction – Hamilton Street becomes Sugarloaf Creek Road.  Follow this north to Muncktons Lane.  Muncktons Lane (red on the map) is a narrow dirt road that wins around to the property gate (No 210).  Please shut the gate then follow the track down and around to the work site at the end of the red line.

Google Map here will also help but gives misleading directions off Sugarloaf Creek Road
