Brad Costin has received the Dr. Sidney Plowman Study and Travel Award for 2013. Brad has been a key figure in local efforts to protect farmlands and establish native vegetation across the Shire. He has worked with the Department of Environment and Primary Industries in Broadford for more than 14 years. Look at most revegetation sites and Brad will have had a hand in approaching and talking to the landholder, arranging funding, and helping with the actual planting work with Landcare groups. He has advised and supported many landholders in adopting practices that improve land health. He has made a significant mark on the landscape and on attitudes to land stewardship in Mitchell Shire. Congratulations
Well done Brad- very well deserved
