About the Event
This is a month to explore how to choose practical, cost-effective alternatives to plastics in everyday life. Plastic Free July is a chance to take small steps in order to make a big difference. Take a month (or a week or whatever you are comfortable with) and choose to refuse some plastics in your life. How about taking your own keep cup, or water bottle? How about saying "No" to single use bags?
At our launch event we will have a range of businesses displaying how they offer services which eliminate plastic.
There will be a chance to learn how to make and repair your own shopping bag. Bring an old T-shirt to re-purpose.
There will be colouring and other activities for kids.
There will also be a yummy, plastic-free afternoon tea.
