UPDATE: EVENT POSTPONED Due to forecast heavy rain, this workshop will not go ahead on Sat 13 June as planned, and will be rescheduled. A new date will be advised ASAP. Free event (including a light lunch at 1pm), but bookings essential.
Many private land owners whose land used to be native forest are keen to restore the native vegetation on some of their land.
Which plants and trees would make this work?
What plants and trees are already there?
Ideally it would be best to do this by finding out what plants used to grow before clearing and farming started in the 19th century.
Botanist Karl Just will lead a workshop on farmland near the Tallarook Forest, showing us how to identify the typical local native flora, and how to encourage these to return to being a significant part of the landscape.
