1&2 Oct:

David and Peter chat with Pat Simons, Renewable Energy Coordinator at Friends of the Earth Melbourne, about Australia's Offshore Wind Opportunity.

As usual, we ask the important questions. What is offshore wind power? Does it float like a boat or sink like a submarine? Will the Federal Government torpedo it or do we need a public mutiny to get them on board? Is there anything fishy going on?

We may even touch on some boring stuff like design, installation, maintenance, cables, electrical grid connection, reliability, timing of the wind, predictability of generation, synergy with other power generation, economy, jobs, just transition and the environment. Maybe.

Tune in and learn about the "Novocastrian Offshore Windfarm" and “Star of the South” offshore wind projects before they get scuttled.
