Kate Auty from the Euroa Environment Group is talking to Jimmy Ivill this week about My Future Academy, the youth program he and others have set up in Euroa. The program develops well-being and fitness and brings young people out into the environment.

My Future Academy was co-founded by James Ivill and Klay Giovannini.

Their aim is to engage young people through fitness and recreation in an effort to eliminate the negative stigma surrounding mental health within our community.

They work to provide sport, recreation and social programs that create a healthy environment for young people to learn a range of skills and information that can be used to support themselves and others who are possibly facing tough times.

We are also talking about the Premier’s Sustainability Awards as Euroa Energy and Euroa Arboretum are both finalists.

Tune in to BEAM's radio program EarthChat each Friday on Seymour FM at 10am or to the repeat on Saturday at 8am.
