About the Event
Mitchell Shire Council, BEAM and the local community recognise the importance of this reserve and have arranged this planting day to enhance shrub and wildflower diversity. We aim to revegetate a once weedy spot near the car park to an area full of indigenous plants that will enhance the reserves biodiversity.
Monument Hill Reserve is a 76ha area of forested hills and gullies overlooking the eastern side of Kilmore and is one of the Mitchell Shire Natural Treasures mapped by Peter Mitchell, more details here.
And please watch the BEAM website for three days in Spring to further explore our Natural Treasures: Sunday 29 September at Monument Hill, Sunday 6th October at Hidden Valley Railway Reserve and Sunday 13th October at Seymour Bushland Park. Details to follow.
