On EarthChat this week we will be interviewing Bob Glindermann who has been running a Rotary program called “Donations in Kind” which sources surplus goods from Australia and sends them overseas to needy countries.
A central co-ordination committee stores, packs and dispatches the goods.
It is always important to establish contact with recipients to confirm that the donations are
appropriate and that there is a plan to dispatch goods to their final recipients.
As the cost of shipping is considerable donations towards meeting this expense is welcome.
